Project Activity Descriptive Report - School Kit
School Kit is a flagship project of the Seva Sahayog Foundation. We distribute thousands of school kits yearly to government-aided school students. This project has four stages. The schools send their requirements through an online Google link and their assessment has been done through the local representative of the Seva Sahayog. The school Kit assemblies are planned zones, and thousands of kits are assembled and handed over to the respective schools. The distribution program is arranged after the school reopens in June.
This year, 5 needy schools from the Pune & Ahmednagar Districts and the Abhyasika run by Seva Sahayog Foundation in the Karjat & Saphale region were shortlisted, and assemblies were conducted in Mumbai & Navi Mumbai. A total of 505 kits were distributed to the Primary & Secondary students.
Impact
1. Standard-wise distribution of adequate stationery material and a school bag.
2. Sparing the family from the financial burden of buying stationery for their child.
3. Additional learning material to facilitate quality education with the help of the school teacher.
4. Student attendance of the students is seen from the first week after the school reopens
5. Enrollment of the students in the school for an incentive for learning.
* In collaboration with the Birewar Foundation, the Seva Sahayog Foundation has continued to enhance educational opportunities through the "Samutkarsh Project" (Community Learning Centers) initiative. These programs have successfully brought experiential learning and community-based educational support to underserved regions in Karjat and Boisar.
